All students at KLIS take part in Music, Art, and Physical Education. Music, Art, and PE instruction are designed to be age/grade level appropriate. Music instruction focuses on three main areas: Music Theory, Music Appreciation, and Choral Singing and mastery of Instrument Instruction. Our Art instruction is focused on a combination of Art History and the application of techniques in the creation of art works in different mediums. These mediums include; painting, sculpting and handcrafts. Physical Education at KLIS focuses on the health and wellness development of students beginning in PreK. As student grow at KLIS, so does their understanding of wellness. Along with learning about healthy practices and physical conditioning, students learn about and participate in a number of team and individual sports. Through team sports, students develop leadership and sportsmanship skills that contribute to their social and emotional development.
