Middle School students are guided by teachers who specialize in adolescent education and know how to encourage each student’s development through a time of great change. As they navigate the emotional, physical, and social transition from childhood to adolescence, we prepare our students to take on more responsibility, make good decisions, and see the world through a wider lens. Middle School students at KLIS develop leadership, respect, and perseverance through academic and non-academic activities. Middle School students are prepared for a seamless transition to High School, carefully facilitated by Middle and High School faculty members working in close collaboration. These teachers work to cultivate time-management, study skills, and self-discipline in every student. AT KLIS our Middle School instructional sequence introduces students to concepts at developmentally-appropriate times and then reinforces and extends that knowledge over time in a spiraling manner.
